Jennifer Istre Family Nurse Practitioner
Jennifer Istre, DNP, APRN, FNP-C has a unique background. She started out with her bachelors in Biological Engineering from Louisiana State University (Geaux Tigers). She then attended University of Maryland in Baltimore for a nursing bridge program, where she completed her masters. In 2009 she commissioned in the Army Nurse Corps, where she proudly served she country (not to mention she served in the Navy also prior to attending LSU). After leaving the Army she decided to further her career as a nurse practitioner and completed her studies at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. Jennifer recently graduated with her doctorate from University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (Hook 'em Horns). Beyond her credentials as a registered family nurse practitioner, Jennifer is also certified by IAPAM in Weight Loss Medication and Diet Plans.
Marcie Vasquez Family Nurse Practitioner
Marcie Vasquez, APRN, FNP-BC began her nursing career in 2007. She initially obtained her Associate Degree of Nursing at The University of Texas at Brownsville. While working in acute care hospitals, Marcie continued her education and obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and eventually a Master of Science in Nursing Education from The University of Texas at Brownsville. Marcie has an extensive background in the profession of Nursing with experience working in Medical/Surgical units, Labor and Delivery, and Nursing Education. Marcie completed her Family Nurse Practitioner certification from The University of South Alabama and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Nursing Practice degree, focusing on increasing access to care for the patients served in the community. Marcie is grateful she is able to serve the patients in the role of a Family Nurse Practitioner and believes in treating every patient like family.
